    Emil E. Hurja, was in Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inner circle of advisers and at one time Executive Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and a personal friend of Postmaster General James A. Farley.  He was the first person to use scientific polling to predict election outcomes and was featured on the March 2, 1936 cover of TIME magazine. Hurja wrote a book entitled
