    Description

    Offered for sale is a bold AVOCADO GREEN DOG figurine from Viking Glass.  This hard-to-find piece was offered only in 1966/1967, so numbers are very limited.  It was made in the U.S.A.
    Viking made beautiful art glass beginning in 1944, and continuing until 1999.  The EPIC line, with its sleek shapes and bold colors was one of the most popular, and is highly treasured by art glass collectors today.
    EPIC glass was produced from 1956 to 1975, expanding from 14 different pieces at the beginning, to 50 or more by the early 1960s. The bold colors, swags, pulls and drapes the artisans used to produce the line were often imitated by other glass makers, but will forever be associated with the Epic Line.
    The dog
    stands 8 1/2 inches (12.7cm) tall, and measures 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) across the widest part
    .  A fine example of Viking hand made glass, and a beautiful piece to add to your collection.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.
    It is in great condition with no cracks, scratches or repairs.  There are three tiny chips on the back of the base (pictures 7 and 8).  They're only visible when the dog is flipped upside down, and even then the light needs to be right (as in picture 8).  This dog DOES NOT have an original VIKING sticker on it.
