    Description

    Marcasite and Black Plastic Art Deco Dress Clip
    Dress clips were popular from the 1920's through the 1950's. They usually came in pairs and could be worn either separately or together on dresses, coats and other items of clothing. This is a single dress clip which may have once been part of a matching pair. An arrow-shaped piece of thick black plastic has a band of marcasites set in silver metal at the top. It would make an interesting pendant or brooch.
    The front of the clip is in nice condition. There are some very light scuffs from wear that are impossible to see. The clip on the back shows some corrosion, but is in perfect working order.
    The clip measures 1-3/4" by 1".
