Batsto Bottle #11 - Jesse Richards Gristmill Hand blown at the Clevenger Brother Glass Works, Clayton, NJ Bottle #11 Amethyst flask. 7" height, no defects. Embossed with the image of the Batsto gristmill- building on one side & with the Batsto Iron Furnace on the other. Embossed with the words: "JESSE RICHARDS 1828 GRISTMILL 11 BATSTO 1984" & "BATSTO CITIZENS COMMITEE IRON FURNACE 1766 FOUNDED 1956"
Beginning in 1973 Clevenger Glass Works made a series of bottles & flasks for Batsto Village, a historical town located in the South New Jersey pinelands. One per year was issued for 12 years. They are all hand blown & hand finished & tooled. Bottles 2 through 12 are numbered.
