Antique tintype of baby with colorized cheeks in gutta percha case

Description

Brown gutta percha case has working hinges, but the clasp doesn't work. I'm not 100% certain whether this is a tintype or an ambrotype, but I'm leaning toward tintype. Baby has colorized pink cheeks. It also appears that this might be a "hidden mother" portrait, but it's not clear.
