    Antique Masons "Arbor" Ironstone Plate, 7 7/8 Inches
    English ironstone has a certain charm, as does certainly this 7 7/8 inch antique plate by Masons. The polychrome color palette is pink, rose, purple, green, and yellow. There is a scalloped border design in raspberry, as well as a triple inner border of raspberry designs. Along the border and extending into the center section of the plate is a garland of leaves and flowers. The border of the plate is sculpted with small scallops. We find one chip on the back rim, not visible from the front. The marks on the back are "Masons" over a crown and "Patent Ironstone China, Arbor, England." we know from "England" rather than "Made in England" that this plate was made in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is over 100 years old. There is some crazing on the plate.
