Both brochures are in Very Good to Fine condition.“Mount Desert Island, Maine” issued by the Chambers of Commerce of Bar Harbor, Mount Desert, and Southwest Harbor. Printed in red, white, and blue. SIZE fully open is 16 x 18 inches. 19 blue halftone photographs, most without captions. Front panel has NO caption but shows the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. Other named photos are the ‘Bluenose” ferry of the Bar Harbor-Yarmouth N.S. International Ferry, The Maine Coast near Seal Harbor, a panorama of Bar Harbor and Frenchman’s Bay by W. H. Ballard, and Somes Sound. Brochure has the History of Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, list of Activities and Photos. Back side of brochure has the large size topographical Map of the Island and Acadia National Park. Legend for Main Highways, Secondary Roads, Carriage Roads, National Park, Golf Courses, Points of Interest. Shown are the islands, including Bartlett, Black, Moose, Great Cranberry Island, Little Cranberry Island, Sutton island, Baker Island, Etc. This Map / Brochure is in FINE condition.
